St. Mary's Online Academy (SMOA) is a global online learning platform offered by St. Mary's School, a renowned U.S. private preparatory school located in Medford, Oregon.

Our school started in 1865 in southern Oregon, located on the beautiful west coast of the United States of America. St. Mary's School has grown to provide an authentic American elementary, middle, and high school education to students in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and other parts of the world. Our integrated online courses are taught by an experienced American faculty whose skills and commitment are second to none.

We take pride in the program we deliver to your child! Courses are taught during normal school hours in Asian standard time. Online and offline learning networks are available to students.Live classroom and in-person, on-campus instruction is available.Students choose to attend online learning only or a combined offline/onsite learning environment. Must have completed Precalculus at a reputable institution with a grade of A- or above and cannot have failed a high school precalculus course previously or the student has completed AP Calculus AB Previously with a grade of C+ or above.
04Teacher Info

Originally from Florida, Justin Wooten has been teaching in China for four years. He has taught adults, teenagers, and young children in English and mathematics. Prior to teaching in China, Justin had several years of experience tutoring university students in many mathematics classes, including statistics, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations and linear algebra.

Justin has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University, and received his TEFL from the Ministry of Education in China. He hopes to facilitate cross cultural understanding, and encourages his students to speak their minds so everyone can learn something from one another.

05Course Overview and Design

AP Calculus AB is designed to be the equivalent of a first semester college calculus course devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus. AP Calculus BC is designed to be the equivalent to both first and second semester college calculus courses. AP Calculus BC applies the content and skills learned in AP Calculus AB to parametrically defined curves, polar curves, and vector-valued functions; develops additional integration techniques and applications; and introduces the topics of sequences and series.
