St. Mary's Online Academy (SMOA) is a global online learning platform offered by St. Mary's School, a renowned U.S. private preparatory school located in Medford, Oregon.

Mr. Eugene Mandell has 30 years of teaching experience in several subjects/disciplines such as: Social Studies, Speech and Debate(Teacher, Coach, and Judge), Spanish, Language Arts, and Special Education. He also indulges in the music and art world, and use those disciplines in order that a student can flourish in their goals.

Participation in this course is essential. Students will have an easier time learning Spanish if they are actively engaged in class discussions and activities. I understand that speaking in a foreign language is not always comfortable for students, and sometimes it is necessary to use English when asking clarifying questions. However, the expectation is that Spanish will be spoken in class 90% of the time.
