Mr.Richardson has been involved with both international schools based in China and public schools in the United States where he holds a Teaching License for Science in the state of Florida.

Mr. Richardson is a graduate of the University of Central Florida holding dual bachelor of science degrees and a Master’s in Physics. He prides himself on self-improvement and is continuing his education to attain his second master’s degree in applied economics.

In the classroom Mr. Richardson has an energetic style that complements his rigorous instruction well, balancing student engagement and student achievement.

A few personal notes about Mr. Richardson are: he is an accomplished tuba player, he was an engineer before he began teaching, and he loves spicy food.

This on-line course presents an introduction to the field of Astronomy, including the current investigations for life on other planets. Course topics include modern methods of observational astronomy, an overview of the scientific method, age and origin of the Solar System, descriptions of the planets and discussions of the possibility of life on other planets.
