Preparing for Success: Cambridge Network Hosts 2025 Orientation in Shanghai

As the 2025–2026 school year approaches, Cambridge Network continues its commitment to ensuring international students are fully prepared to begin their educational journey in the United States. On July 19, we proudly hosted our annual Pre-Departure Orientation (ICO) in Shanghai, welcoming students and parents from across China, both in person and virtually.

With 16 years of expertise in international education services, Cambridge Network is deeply familiar with the challenges students may face when transitioning to life and school in a new country. Our team, alongside a group of seasoned alumni, delivered a robust, full-day event to guide families through every step of the journey—before departure and beyond arrival.

Our expert panel included representatives from Cambridge’s U.S. and China-based service, operations, and marketing teams. Together, they provided insights into:

Cambridge Network’s comprehensive support system

Daily academic and residential life in American high schools

Pre-departure preparation checklists

Post-arrival tips for safety, adjustment, and communication

Navigating life with a host family

Understanding American culture and student insurance

Alumni sharing real-life advice and success stories

One of the day’s highlights came from Vivian, Family Education Advisor (FEA) Team Manager, who offered an in-depth look at how Cambridge supports each student and family through a fully integrated, personalized care system. From academic progress and health to communication and well-being, we believe no detail is too small when it comes to international student success.

As a CSIET-certified organization for 12 consecutive years, Cambridge Network continues to provide the highest quality homestay experiences and supervision services across the U.S. Our thousands of host families are carefully selected, trained, and supported to ensure each student finds a welcoming home away from home.

The Pre-Departure Orientation is just one of the many ways we stand beside our families—both abroad and in the U.S.—as trusted partners. With 99% of Cambridge students going on to attend four-year universities and over 80% admitted to top 100 institutions, we know the foundation built before a student even boards a plane can make all the difference.

We’re grateful for our global team’s dedication and for the partnership of our schools and host families. Together, we’re not only preparing students to succeed—we’re preparing them to thrive!
